Case Study - Wedding Ceremony Marquee - Middle Temple London
When; October 2007
A private client required a marquee to accommodate a Chuppah and seating for 180 guests in the round.
The main celebration and Wedding breakfast was to be held within Middle Temple itself. A separate structure was required on the adjoining lawn for the ceremony, linked by walkway covering the stone steps between.
- Site visits with the client to discuss theme, budget and visions.
- Site meeting with the venue to understand access and restrictions associated with working at an ancient monument.
- Establish power source
- Access to water for the weighting required to secure the marquee structure – no pinning is allowed owing to possible antiquity below the lawn surface. The walkway similarly needed to be weighted.
The finished product was considered outstanding; the event caterer was impressed and commented the finish looked `very feminine’.
The client wrote `you are a star’ she was so pleased with the marquee.
