Spring 2008 - 2015.

The brief;

We were originally asked to supplement an Oxford college we regularly supply, for a multinational audience to meet both formally and informally for breakout sessions.

The approach;

Since we first worked with this US based client, the format has grown year on year, and 2015 will be no exception with another structure required to service their next event.

Initially we supplied our 9m marquee in the courtyard set up with food and drink stations one end, and seating the other. With mature trees to work around, the marquee has a 6m middle section which acts as a natural break. Since then we have added an additional 15m structure on the rear lawn, which in turn has grown in length as the event gained popularity.

This alone generated new challenges, as a 2m high hedge and flower borders became involved. 2013 saw us incorporate the hedge as a natural divide between the seminar seating, and their buffet area and form a back drop to the stage.

We supply around 2 dozen large panels we recover each year with the clients colour theme, to segregate the informal seating, and 2014 saw a last minute request for extra panels to mask areas of the hedge that had died back.

Our client has become very complimentary of our high standards, and the ability to say yes to all their requests. The college likewise appreciates our ability to work within a working educational environment – the college continues to function whilst this event is in progress – and be sympathetic to their grounds and landscaping.
